Ineos Receives Approval for Chinese Phenol Project

Ineos Phenol, an Ineos subsidiary, says it has received approval from the Chinese authorities for a previously announced project to build a phenol-acetone complex at Zhangjiagang, China (CW, April 6/13, 2005, p. 17). The National Development Reform Commission (Beijing), the Ministry of Commerce (Beijing), and the Zhangjiagang Administration of Industry and Commerce (Zhangjiagang) have approved the plan, Ineos says.
