Explosion at Omsk rubber plant damages phenol-acetone complex, injures several people

Emergency services are assessing the damage caused in yesterday’s explosion at the Omsk rubber plant’s phenol-acetone complex in Russia, local reports say. The facility belongs to the Titan Group.   Several people, including the rubber plant’s employees and contractors, have been injured in the accident. The reports say that of the 11 people affected, 4 are in hospital, with 1 of those in serious condition. Titan says is it ready to compensate the victims by meeting their medical costs and other compensation in accordance with the federal...
