Chinese Government 'Re-Approves' Ineos Phenol Project

Ineos Phenol, an Ineos subsidiary, says that China’s National Development Reform Commission (NDRC; Beijing) has re-approved its previously announced investment for a phenol-acetone complex at Zhangjiagang, China. The project received its first approval by NDRC, the Ministry of Commerce (Beijing), and the Zhangjiagang Administration of Industry and Commerce, in 2007. The request for re-approval was made by Ineos following the completion of front-end engineering, initial project financing discussions and a review of recent economic developments, Ineos says...
