Fluor Wins $1-Billion Sipchem Contract

Fluor says it has been awarded a $1-billion contract to provide engineering, procurement, construction management, and pre-commissioning services to Saudi International Petrochemical’s (Sipchem; Al Khobar) planned acetyls complex at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Construction began this month, and the plant is due for completion in December 2008.
