BASF Announces Price Increase

BASF says it will increase the price of glacial acrylic acid and several acrylic esters on September 1, or as contracts allow. Glacial acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate will increase by 6 cts/lb, or $132/ton in North and South America due to “elevated operating costs from rapidly increasing  raw material prices associated with tight supply in the propylene, oxo-alcohols and acrylates markets,” BASF...
