Markets :: Basic Chemicals :: Inorganic Chemicals :: Titanium Dioxide TiO2 Producers Seek October Price Hikes10:45 PM MDT | September 28, 2009 | Lindsey Bewley North American titanium dioxide (TiO2) producers are looking to hike prices by about 5% due to shrinking margins and rising raw material costs. Several major TiO2 producers, including Cristal Global, DuPont Titanium Technologies, Kronos and Tronox are looking to up North American prices by 5 cts/lb on October 1, or as contracts allow. Producers are also seeking global price increases. DuPont Titanium Technologies says it will increase all grades of Ti-Pure-brand TiO2 by €100/m.t. in Africa, Europe and the Mideast, and $150/m.t. in Latin America...
