Cristal Global to Discontinue TiO2 Production at Maryland Site

Cristal Global says it will stop producing base pigments, including titanium dioxide, at its Hawkins Point, MD plant. The plant was idled in March 2009 due to the economic downturn. Despite recently improved demand for titanium dioxide, the long-term outlook for the facility remains unfavorable, Cristal Global says.
