Shin-Etsu to Build Silicones Plant in China

Shin-Etsu Chemical says it will establish a new silicones company dubbed Shin-Etsu Silicone Nantong at Nantong, China and that it will invest about ¥8.5 billion ($96 million) to construct a silicone products manufacturing plant at Nantong. The new silicone plant will be located in an industrial park of the Nantong Economic and Technological Zone, about 100 kms north of Shanghai, and it will produce 25,000 m.t./year of a line of silicone rubber products, such as silicone rubber for molding.
