Momentive Announces Silanes Expansions

Momentive Performance Materials says it is expanding silanes production capacity at Sistersville, WV and Termoli, Italy to meet growing demand, particularly in China. Capacity and financial terms were not disclosed. The company is adding amino silanes capacity at Sistersville and vinyl silanes capacity at Termoli. It will also resume production for trimethoxysilane (TMS), Silquest A-187 epoxy silane and Silquest A-174 methacryl silane at the Sistersville location before the end of the year.
