Lanxess is acquiring the French subsidiary of the insolvent Thermphos (Vlissingen, Netherlands), which will expand Lanxess’s portfolio of phosphorus-based chemicals. The transaction closes with immediate effect. Lanxess is acquiring the production assets and the customer list of the Thermphos’s site at Epierre, France, a leading producer of phosphorus pentoxide and polyphosphoric acid.
