Yara International reports lower third-quarter net income; Qafco makes major contribution

Yara International today reported a 27% drop in third-quarter net income after noncontrolling interests, to 2.62 billion Norwegian krone ($463.4 million). Revenue and other income was down 2%, to NK20.8 billion. Earnings per share were NK9.3, compared with NK12.42 in the third quarter of 2011. Excluding net foreign exchange gain and special items, the result was NK9.05 per share, compared with NK9.13 per share in year-earlier quarter.
