Uralkali reports decreased potash production in 2012

Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia), among the world's biggest producers of potash with a market share of about 20%, says its potassium chloride production in full year 2012 decreased 16%, to 9.12 million m.t. compared with 10.83 million m.t. in full year 2011. Uralkali's average capacity utilization rate in 2012 reached 80%, despite lower capacity utilization at the beginning and at the end of 2012, the company says.
