Uralkali export contract to China confirms slide in potash prices

Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia) says that its Uralkali Trading subsidiary has reached an agreement on potash deliveries to China in the first half of 2014 at $305/m.t. cfr. The price represents a signifcant decline on potash export prices in 2013 and follows Uralkali's exit last July from the Belarusian Potash Co. (BPC; Minsk) export cartel, which Uralkali operated jointly with Belaruskali (Soligorsk, Belarus). Uralkali's contract covers shipments to China totaling 700,000 m.t. and was signed with a consortium headed by farm chemical company CNAMPGC Shanghai Corp...
