Alexander Voloshin, chairman of Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia), the potash producer embroiled in a dispute with Belarus authorities following Uralkali’s decision to quit Belarussian Potash Co. (BPC), has called for the immediate release of Vladislav Baumgertner, the CEO of Uralkali. On Monday, Baumgertner was detained, accused of abuse of power.
