Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner released from house arrest

Vladislav Baumgertner, CEO of potash major Uralkali was on Thursday released from house arrest, his lawyer Alexei Basistov said.  Belarus had earlier agreed to extradite Baumgertner to Russia only a few days after billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov agreed to buy Suleiman Kerimov’s 21.75% stake in Uralkali.  Belarus asked for a change in ownership before any prospect of a resumption of joint potash marketing.
