Uralchem subsidiary acquires Ventamonjaks

Uralchem (Moscow), a leading producer of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers, has acquired a controlling stake in SIA Ventamonjaks, the largest liquid ammonia transhipment terminal in the Baltic Sea. It has an annual capacity of 1 million m.t./year and is located at the ice-free port of Ventspils, Latvia. The acquisition of the 55% stake was made by Uralchem Freight, a subsidiary of Uralchem.
