Uralchem reports lower earnings and revenues

Uralchem (Moscow), a leading fertilizer producer, reports a 21% decline in first-quarter operating profit, to 5.27 billion Russian rubles ($150.9 million), on 7% lower sales, R19.4 billion. The company reports a net loss of R8.90 billion compared with a net profit of R4.84 billion in the first quarter of 2013.
