Toyo Engineering Awarded Contract for Urea Plant in India

Toyo Engineering (Narashino, Japan) says it has been awarded a contract by Jaiprakash Associates (Noida, India), a subsidiary of infrastructure conglomerate Jaypee Group (Noida) covering licensing and development of basic design for a urea plant in the fertilizer complex to be constructed by Jaiprakash Associates at Kanpur, India. The planned fertilizer complex will consist of an ammonia plant with a production capacity of 2,200 m.t./day, and a urea plant with two trains each with a capacity of 1,925 m.t./day.
