Teck and Ministry of Agriculture in China Sign Agreement to Promote Zinc Fertilizer

Mining company Teck Resources (Vancouver, Canada) says it has signed an agreement with the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center (NATESC) of the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture (Beijing), to demonstrate and promote zinc fertilizer use in China. NATESC, in partnership with the International Zinc Association (Brussels), has already conducted over 40 field trials of zinc fertilizer in China which have demonstrated increases in crop yields and have brought positive economic returns to farmers, Teck says.
