SQM reports no structural damage to its facilities from Chile earthquake

Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM, Santiago) suffered no structural damage to its facilities following the 8.2-magnitude earthquake that shook most of northern Chile and southern Peru yesterday, the company announced today after a preliminary inspection of its facilities. The earthquake was approximately 200 kilometers from SQM's operations at Nueva Victoria, 300 kilometers from its operations at Maria Elena, 500 kilometers from the Salar de Atacama site, 430 kilometers from the Salar del Carmen site, and 260 kilometers from the company's operations...
