Russian fertilizer producer Uralchem reports lower profits, flat sales

Uralchem (Moscow), one of the largest producers of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers in Russia, has announced its unaudited financial results for the first 6 months of 2013. Net profit was down 43% to $253 million and profit margin was 44% lower at 20%. Adjusted Ebitda declined 2% to $452 million and adjusted Ebitda margin dropped from 37% in the first 6 months of last year to 35% in the corresponding period of 2013.
