Rentech Nitrogen updates guidance, reflecting lower prices and volume

Rentech Nitrogen announced today that it is updating its outlook for the remainder of 2013 and 2014—which will be detailed further when it releases its earnings on 7 November, the company says. The company says its ammonia and urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) prices were seasonably low in the third quarter, and ammonia shipments were lighter from its East Dubuque, IL facility, while its UAN shipments were higher. The ammonium sulfate market was weaker in the third quarter, and contracts have not been stabilized, therefore prices have not been locked in...
