Rentech Nitrogen reports $2 million damage from East Dubuque fire

Rentech Nitrogen announced today that repairs damage from a fire at its East Dubuque, IL facility, which occurred on 28 November, will cost about $1-2 million. The company says the fire began at the ammonia converter of the ammonia synthesis loop. The company says it intends to file a claim related to the incident under its property insurance policy—which has a $1 million deductible.
