Rentech Nitrogen completes fire damage repairs at East Dubuque

Rentech Nitrogen says that it has completed all repairs related to the fire that occurred at the company's East Dubuque, IL, nitrogen fertilizer facility on 29 November 2013. The company says ammonia production resumed on 29 December and that the facility has been producing ammonia at a rate of about 790 m.t./day as of 5 January. This rate is expected to increase to about 1,020 m.t./day by the end of January, on completion of previously announced repairs to the foundation of one of the site's four synthesis gas compressors, the company says.
