Petronas Chemicals' fertilizer project to be delayed six months

Petronas Chemicals expects a six-month delay and an increase in costs for the construction of the Sabah Ammonia and Urea (Samur) project, according to chairman Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin. He was speaking to reporters following the company’s annual general meeting at Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. The news follows a recent fire onboard one of the vessels carrying critical equipment items for the fertilizer complex, a key growth project for Petronas.
