Mitsui & Co., Sumitomo Corp. abandon plans to merge fertilizer businesses

Mitsui & Co. (Tokyo) says that it has canceled its basic agreement with Sumitomo Corp. (Tokyo) for the integration of their fertilizer businesses in Japan. The 2 companies had signed the basic agreement in March 2012 and had launched a detailed study to integrate their fertilizer businesses in Japan.
