K+S's earnings fall almost 30%; potash market braced for volume, price uncertainty

Potash producer K+S (Kassel, Germany) today reported a 29.4% drop in adjusted group earnings after taxes during the second quarter, to €105.9 million, compared with €150.1 million in the same period last year. Adjusted group earnings stood at €296.1 million in the first half of the year, 13.6% down compared with the first half of 2012.
