ICL to invest in major expansion of polyhalite potash capacity in the UK

Israel Chemicals Ltd. (ICL; Tel Aviv) said today that ICL Fertilizers’ subsidiary, Cleveland Potash Ltd. (CPL), will expand its polyhalite mining capacity at its Boulby mine in the northeast of the United Kingdom. ICL markets under the polysulfate name. This announcement follows the news that the UK government has approved a grant of £4.9 million ($8.2 million) for the project.    CPL will begin implementing a £38-million investment program designed to increase production capacity and mining of polyhalite to around 600,000 m.t./year...
