Markets :: Basic Chemicals :: Inorganic Chemicals :: Fertilizers ICL Buys SQM out of Specialty Fertilizer JV6:48 AM MDT | October 24, 2011 | Ian Young ICL (Tel Aviv) says it has agreed to acquire SQM's (Santiago) 50% stake in the companies' Nutrisi Holdings joint venture. ICL will be sole owner of Belgium-based Nutrisi on completion of the transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed. Nutrisi and Yara International each own 50% of NU3 (Grobbendonk, Belgium), the world's largest manufacturer of soluble NPK fertilizer components. NU3 operates manufacturing plants in Belgium and the Netherlands, and sells its products in Europe and overseas. Becoming 100% owner of Nutrisi forms part of ICL's strategy to...
