Fertilizer Profits Grow on Higher Prices

Higher selling prices and strong demand lifted third-quarter earnings of CF Industries Holdings (Deerfield, IL), Terra Industries, and Compass Minerals. CF Industries’s net income grew more than 100%, to $86.5 million, over the same year-ago period.
