Fertiberia (Madrid) says it has completed the €90-million ($119 million) acquisition of fertilizer maker Adubos de Portugal (ADP; Alverca do Ribatejo, Portugal) from Químicos Industriais (CUF; Estarreja, Portugal). ADP mainly produces nitrogen fertilizers. Fertiberia says it is Spain’s biggest producer of fertilizers and Europe’s second biggest after Yara International, with sales of just over €1 billion/year.
