Farmer co-op CHS acquires Agrium crop production assets

CHS (St. Paul, MN), a US farmer-owned cooperative, is acquiring selected Canadian retail assets from Agrium’s Crop Production Services subsidiary. Under the agreement, CHS will acquire 16 retail agronomy locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan, which will become a part of CHS’s country operations division. The transaction is expected to close on 1 April, and financial terms have not been disclosed.
