FMC's Income Rises on Strong Sales Across All Businesses

FMC announced fourth-quarter 2011 net income up of $77.9 million ($1.10/share), compared to a net loss of $53.5 million (74 cts share) in the fourth quarter of 2010. Net income in the current quarter included restructuring and other income and charges of $33.7 million after-tax, or charges of 48 cts share, versus restructuring and other income and charges of $133.2 million after-tax, or charges of $1.84/share in the prior-year quarter.
