Belarus signs potash supply deal with China

Belarusian Potash Co. (BPC; Minsk) says it has signed a three-year agreement to supply "quite important volumes" of potash to fertilizer supplier and distributor Sinofert (Beijing) for use in the Chinese market. China is the bigget consumer of potash, importing an estimated 6 million m.t./year. BPC, meanwhile, says it shipped more than 350,000 m.t. of potash in September, to markets including Bangladesh, Belgium, and Norway. BPC expects to load 420,000 m.t. of potash in October.
