BHP Billiton to Keep New Potash Mine Out of Canpotex

Australian mining company BHP Billiton (Melbourne) says it will keep its new Jansen, SK potash mine out of Canpotex, the potash export cartel owned by Saskatchewan producers, according to reports in the Financial Times. Planned capacity at full production is expected to be about 8 million m.t./year, which BHP says would amount to a 16% total global market share.
