Al Hamdi to Invest $1.4 billion in Fertilizer Complex in Jordan

Saudi Arabian mining company Al Hamdi Group (Jeddah) plans to build a JD 1-billion ($1.4billion) phosphoric acid and fertilizer complex in Jordan, according to chairman Abdul Karim Al Hamdi who recently signed an agreement with the Jordan Investment Board. Construction will start in the second quarter of next year, with initial capacity for 310,000 m.t./year of phosphoric acid.
