Agrium to Boost Nitrogen Fertilizer Capacity in Missouri

Agrium Advanced Technologies (Loveland, CO), a business unit of Agrium, says it has begun construction of its polymer-coated nitrogen expansion at the company’s New Madrid, MO plant. The nitrogen, sold under the brand name ESN, is a controlled release fertilizer with a semi-permeable polymer coating that allows eater to enter the urea granule, dissolve the nitrogen inside, and release it as the plant needs it, Agrium says.
