Acron and Rio Tinto form JV to develop Albany potash deposit in SK

Acron (Velikiy Novgorod, Russia), a producer of fertilizers; and the Rio Tinto group have formed a joint venture to evaluate developing their jointly held potash properties in Saskatchewan and held their first board meeting at London today, the companies have announced. Acron’s stake in the jv is held through North Atlantic Potash Inc., its Canadian subsidiary.   Acron said last December that a world-class potash resource had been delineated on the jv’s KP405 potash permit in southern Saskatchewan.
