Acron Reports Increase in 2009 Output; Forecasts Strong Demand in 2010

Acron (Velikii Novgorod, Russia), a leading fertilizer producer with two sites in Russia and one in China, reported a major increase in output in 2009 and says it expects strong demand for fertilizers in its major markets this year, which should lead to maximum capacity utilization rates. The company, whose production plants are located at Velikii Novgorod, and Dorogobuzh, Russia; and Linyi, Shandong Province, China, operated by subsidiary Hongri Acron, says the group's consolidated ammonia output was up 13% at 1.7 million m.t. last...
