CF Industries closes Canadian Fertilizers acquisition

CF Industries announced it has closed on its previously announced acquisition of Canadian Fertilizers Limited (CFL) for C$910 million ($903 million) in cash. CFL owns the largest nitrogen fertilizer complex in Canada at Medicine Hat, AB, the company says. The acquisition increases CF Industries’ annual marketable nitrogen volume by about 425,000 gross tons of ammonia and 275,000 tons of urea.
