The investment includes capacity expansions for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin, chlor-alkali, and PVC pipe. “The expansion will improve the vertical integration of Westlake’s vinyls business from chlorine downstream into vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and PVC, and increase caustic soda sales once the expansion is completed by the second half of 2009,”...
