Koruma Klor Alkali Sanayi ve Ticaret (Kocaeli, Turkey) has ordered a membrane-cell electrolyzer, which will expand the company’s Iskendrum, Turkey chlor-alkali plant by 45.5 m.t./day, to 91 m.t./day of caustic soda, by the fourth quarter of 2008. The same customer will also expand its Izmit, Turkey chlor-alkali plant by 45.5 m.t./day, to 135.5 m.t./day of caustic, using Uhdenora’s membrane technology. The company says that...
