Solvay Prepares to Exit ANSAC

Solvay Chemicals says it will complete its exit from the American Natural Soda Ash Corp. (ANSAC) by year end. The company in January 2009 announced its intention to leave ANSAC, an export consortium of U.S.-based soda ash producers, to expand the company’s global business. Solvay will integrate exports from its Green River, WY soda ash plant into the company’s international network starting January 1.
