Skyonic Corp breaks ground at its Capitol SkyMine plant in Texas

Skyonic (Austin, TX) has broken ground at its Capitol SkyMine plant in San Antonio, TX, the company announced. The plant is expected to capture 300,000 m.t./year of CO2 though the direct capture of 75,000 m.t./year of CO2, and additional 225,000 m.t./year that will be offset by the production of green products, the company says. The plant is scheduled to become fully operational in 2014. It should turn a profit within three years, from the sale of products such as sodium bicarbonate, hydrochloric acid (HCl) and bleach.
