Shintech’s Louisiana Complex to Start Up First Phase in May

Shin-Estu subsidiary Shintech says the first phase of an integrated chlor-alkali and vinyls project near Plaquemine, LA will start up in May. The company will bring online 300,000 m.t./year of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and 300,000 electrochemical units (ECUs)/year of chlor-alkali capacity during the first phase.
