Olin to Shutter Chlor-Alkali Plant, Exit Sodium Chlorate Business

Olin says it will shutter its Dalhousie, NB chlor-alkali plant in an effort to streamline manufacturing operations in Canada. The move will affect 50 workers at the site. Chlorine, caustic soda, and sodium hypochlorite operations at the site will close by early June. Olin will cease production of sodium chlorate production at the site in August, marking its exit from that business.
