Olin Will Not Restart St. Gabriel Chlor-Alkali Plant

Olin says that it will not restart its chlor-alkali unit at St. Gabriel, LA due to the economic downturn. The 197,000-electrochemical unit (ECU)/year facility has been shut down since last month for scheduled maintenance. The company says it will continue with a previously announced chlor-alk expansion and membrane-cell conversion project at the facility.
