The project includes expanding chlor-alkali production at the site by 25%, to 246,000 electrochemical units/year, reducing its energy costs by 29%, and converting the plant’s mercury-cell technology to membrane-cell technology. The facility is expected to come onstream by the end of September, Olin says. “This modernized plant will allow us to be well-positioned to meet the needs of our industrial customers in this region,”...
