Olin Lifts Force Majeure

Olin says it has lifted its force majeure on chlorine, diaphragm grade caustic soda, hydrogen, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite, and sodium chloride from its McIntosh, AL, complex on January 29. The force majeure was declared due to an unexpected equipment failure at the plant, which caused a production shutdown. The restart came 13 days after the announcement, much sooner than company officials had originally expectedd, sources say.
