Meghmani Starts Up Chlor-Alkali Unit in India

Pigment and agchem manufacturer Meghmani Organics (Ahmedabad, India) says its Meghmani Finechem subsidiary has begun commercial production at its previously announced 110,000-m.t./year caustic soda plant at Dahej, India. Meghmani has set up the fully-integrated unit to manufacture caustic soda, chlorine, and hydrogen gas in the initial phase. And in the subsequent phase, Meghmani plans to produce chlorine derivatives or downstream products such as polyvinyl chloride, mono-chloro acetic acid, cyanuric chloride, aluminum chloride, calcium chloride, methyl chloride...
